Equipment

  • Cocktail Skewers
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • strainer
  • Rubber Spatula
  • skillet
  • Salad Spinner

Ingredients

For the burger

  • 1 lbs ground turkey 93% lean
  • 1 tbsp A1 sauce
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 packet zesty Italian seasoning

For the skewer

  • avocado
  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • cup munster cheese cubed
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, mix ground turkey, dijon mustard, A1 sauce and Italian seasoning together until well combined.
  • Heat a skillet to medium heat and spray with cooking spray. Then use your hands to form the ground turkey mixture into 12 equal sized patties that are roughly 2 inch diameter and 1” thick.
  • Cook mini burger patties on both sizes for 3-4 minutes each or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Wash the tomatoes and lettuce. Dice cheese into thin cubes and the avocado into fine slices. Cut the lettuce into small squares (similar size to the patty).
  • Top the cooked burgers with the cheese and avocado slices. Add the tomato to the cocktail skewer and then pierce the burger, cheese, avocado stack.
  • Then add the lettuce to the skewer last, placed underneath the burger patty to serve as the base on your serving dish.
  • Serve Mini Burgers on a Stick with a side of Ranch or your favorite condiment or drizzle it on top of all of the skewers.

Notes

These Mini Burger Skewers can be stored assembled on their skewer in an air tight container for 3-5 days. I suggest leaving the lettuce off the bottom until your ready to serve so the juices from the burgers do not drip down and make it soggy.
