Banana Margarita

This Banana Margarita (a.k.a. Bananarita) gives a tropical twist on the classic tequila cocktail we all love. The subtle banana flavor sweetens up the summer drink in an unusually tasty fashion.

Equipment

  • blender
  • Jigger
  • Measuring Cups
  • Knife
  • Juicer
  • Serving Glass

Ingredients

  • 6 ox Light Margarita Mix
  • ½ Banana
  • 1 Lime
  • 2 oz Tequila I recommend 1800 Coconut
  • 1 oz Triple Sec
  • 1 cup ice
  • salt/sugar

Instructions

  • Add ice to a blender and blend until ice is a shaved like consistency.
  • Then add light margarita mix, banana, tequila, lime juice and triple sec to a blender. Pulse together for 30-45 seconds.
  • Use the leftover lime to rim the glass. Dip into salt or sugar.
  • Pour margarita from the blender into rimmed glass and enjoy!

Notes

The ice will melt during blending, so it’s not a true FROZEN marg. It’s just served chilled (which is 100% delicious in my opinion!) You’ll need to add more ice to the glass prior to pouring if you’d like.
I am 99% a salt rimmed marg girlie, BUT I’d recommend sugar for this one. It felt right with the banana flavor.
