Pear Vinaigrette

Coming together in just five minutes, this Pear Vinaigrette is a light, yet flavorful dressing perfect for all of your fall and winter salads when pears are in season

Equipment

  • Immersion blender or regular blender or food processor
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 Barlett Pear ripe
  • 1 tbsp Pomegranate Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Zero Acres cultured oil or sub olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • ½ tbsp minced garlic to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the stem away from the pair, then dice into small pieces.
  • In an immersion blender cup, add diced pears, oil, honey, red wine vinegar, dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Blend it until the pears are completely dissolved.
  • Add the pomegranate seeds into the vinaigrette and blend again.
  • Store in an airtight mason jar with a lid until ready to enjoy. Shake before use.

Notes

You MUST have a ripe pear for this recipe. It will add sweetness to the dressing as well as make it into a vinaigrette.
To ripen pears quickly, place them in a sealed brown paper bag on the counter for 1-2 days. Move them to the refrigerator once they’re soft and ripened.
