Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers

These Spinach Feta Turkey burgers are filled with zesty ranch flavoring and bites of crumbly feta cheese. They're a great source of protein, and fabulous with a toasted bun - piled high with toppings. Perfect for summer bbq or just your weekly dinner round-up.

Ingredients

Burgers

  • 1 lb ground turkey 93%/7% works great
  • ¼ cup chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup chopped spinach
  • ¼ cup feta cheese
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning
  • 4 buns brioche or pretzel buns

Toppings & Condiments

  • roma tomatoes sliced
  • butter lettuce
  • spicy pickle spears
  • red onion fresh or sautéed
  • mayo
  • crumbled feta
  • ranch dressing

Instructions

  • Combine feta, ground turkey, ranch packet, diced red onion, and spinach in a mixing bowl. Note: it's crucial that the spinach and onion is diced finely. If it is too large, the burgers risk falling apart while cooking.
  • Fold together, and form into 4 burger patties ~½ inch thick.

  • Grease a skillet and heat stove to medium-high. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until burgers reach 165°F.
  • Add sliced cheese or more crumbled feta 1 minute before burgers are removed from heat
  • Once burgers are cooked through, let them rest while you broil sliced and oiled buns for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  • Add the suggested toppings or toppings of choice and enjoy!!

Notes

It's crucial that the spinach and onion is diced finely. If it is too large, the burgers risk falling apart while cooking.
Store burgers alone in an air-tight Tupperware container in the refrigerator. Build with the bun and toppings before enjoying.
To grill these burgers, you'll want to use tinfoil. Because they're so packed with ingredients, they may fall apart if you just toss them on the grill.
