Satisfy your lunchtime cravings with the delightful flavors of a Grilled Chicken Wrap bursting with the sweetness of ripe strawberries and the creaminess of avocado. This harmonious combination of savory and fruity notes creates a tasty and refreshing meal experience.

Why you’ll love this Lunch Wrap
Who doesn’t love a good wrap. I mean I am a sandwich girlie for SURE, but a wrap just hits different. You get less overpowering bread such that you really get to taste the gloriousness of what’s inside.
This wrap sure does hit the spot when it comes to the filling. There’s the juicy grilled chicken along with fresh strawberries and creamy avocado, which pair perfectly with a little crumbled feta, too. A poppy seed dressing ties together all of the flavors. It’s just so tasty!
I like to prep the chicken in advance (I use my Ninja Foodi Grilled Chicken – one of my most popular APOP recipes!), and then when I’ve got the ingredients on hand it’s so easy to throw the wrap together as an easy meal. No cooking required and you have a great lunch ready in just a few minutes. And if you want to try some other wrap recipes, try this Oriental Chicken Wrap or this Buffalo Chicken Crunch Wrap, too.
Recipe Ingredients

- Chicken Breasts – Prep my Ninja Foodi Grilled Chicken to use in these tasty wraps. You can also use store-bought rotisserie chicken, instead.
- Wraps – I used Mission spinach wraps. I recommend something LARGE so your fillings don’t fall out.
- Light Mayo – A bit of mayo sauce acts a little like glue to keep the chicken filling from falling out the sides of the wrap.
- Strawberries – The thinner you slice them the better.
- Avocado – If you’re making these in advance, I suggest a squeeze of lemon juice on the avocado to prevent browning.
- Poppy Seed Dressing – Pairs so perfect with all of the fresh flavors in this wrap.
- Cheese – Feta goes well with the berries and avocado. Reach for goat cheese if you’d like something a little creamier.
See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
Substitutions and Variations
- Switch up the protein: Instead of chicken, try flaked salmon (I like to do this when I have leftover salmon from a dinner the night before), grilled shrimp, turkey, or grilled tofu.
- Try another dressing: Make a creamier wrap with ranch dressing, a tangier wrap with bbq sauce, or a heated wrap with buffalo sauce or hot sauce (surprisingly works well with the avocado and strawberry!)
How to Make This Recipe

1. Prep the chicken – For super juicy chicken, cook to recipe instructions found in this blog post: Ninja Foodi Grilled Chicken or grill it to your liking – this recipe is excellent with meal prepped chicken! Slice thinly.

**If making all 4 wraps at once, simply line them up in a line and make at 4x speed!**
2. To make a wrap: I highly recommend microwaving the wrap for 10 seconds so it’s easiest to roll. It may also be helpful to place a damp paper towel around the outside of the wraps if they are particularly dry.
Lay the warm tortillas flat on a plate, spread 1 tablespoon of mayo on the wrap, then place thinly sliced grilled chicken pieces on the wrap.

3. Top with a layer of strawberries (roughly ¼ cup of berries on each wrap). Pour one tablespoon of poppy seed dressing, crumbled feta cheese, and green onions onto the wrap. If you’d like to add another tablespoon of mayo or poppyseed dressing, add it here – (I personally did more mayo 🙂

4. Top with avocado slices. Press ¼ cup of greens on top (the dressing and avocado should help the lettuce stick a bit).
5. Roll each wrap like a burrito: take the bottom edge of the wrap and fold it up over the fillings and fold in both sides. Continue rolling tightly but carefully, ensuring the sides stay folded in and the fillings do not spill out.
6. Cut in half and enjoy! You can make these up to 8-10 hours in advance. I made them for my family after pickleball and kept them on ice. They were perfect to eat about ~4 hours after making!
PRO TIPS
- WARM THE WRAP!! 10 seconds is all it needs. It makes folding SO much easier!!
- Try to keep the wrap moderately full. If it’s a stuffed tortilla, it will be very hard to fold.
- Thinner sliced ingredients work best to get all of the flavors in each bite.
Recipe FAQs
I would not prep this more than one day in advance. With avocado and fresh fruit on your grilled chicken wrap, it won’t last well. If you do make it ahead or have leftovers, wrap the wrap tightly in aluminum foil and store in the fridge.
Not necessary, but grilling your wrap could be tasty if you enjoy a warmed sandwich! I suggest spraying a skillet or grill pan with cooking spray or adding a little butter or olive oil and heating to medium-high heat. Add your wrap, with the open seam facing the pan first. Let cook for 2-3 minutes or until the outside gets a little golden brown, then carefully flip and let brown on the opposite side, too.
A spinach tortilla wrap or a Joseph’s Lavash Wrap are my go-tos. Larger wraps work best because you can put more filling in and it stays together better.
If you want to make it low carb, use Boston lettuce or Romaine Lettuce as your wrap vessel.

made these for a summer dinner before pickleball and loved them!
Picture this. It’s post pickleball. You’re sweaty, tired, and don’t feel like cooking. All the sudden, you remember your older sister made these and they’re sitting in your fridge. You open it up, smell that sweet strawberry flavor, and devour.
Can’t recommend these enough!
I shy away from berries in savory recipes, but leaned into this one and i am OBSESSED. Quick and easy to throw together, too!
Simple but perfect wrap sandwich! So flavorful!!
