The Evolution of Content Creation In Images

From using my phone to learning how to use a camera in manual mode with a DIY “light box” to going all in and purchasing equipment for artificial light. At every step, I’ve looked back and thought: “why didn’t I do this sooner?!?” I love to learn and the evolution of photography has continually pushed and fulfilled me!
I love a pun! And that’s why this blog uses my middle name: Paige. It was much easier to put a spin on words with Paige instead of Courtney. A Paige Of Positivity brought me a lot of light and joy while I battled an Eating Disorder; Read more about my journey here. While I almost exclusively share recipes, I also share little bits about my personal life (like over on APOP’s Corner).
How A Paige Of Positivity came about
A Paige Of Positivity came to fruition during my junior year at Michigan State. It started as a Instagram ‘Paige‘ where I showcased aesthetically pleasing pictures of food, my life as an interior design student, a mix of fitness and college lifestyle, and everything else in between.
When Covid-19 impacted the whole world in 2020, I found myself with much more time to dedicate to APOP. Fed up with Instagram’s algorithm, I bought the domain to apaigeofpositivity.com and launched this blog! Since then, it’s grown to places I could never imagine. We moved back to Michigan in the summer of 2022 and that’s when I took Blogging Full-time.
Join me in preserving these traditions and creating new memories around the table. Let’s journey together through the history of Southern cooking, one delicious recipe at a time.

My approach to cooking
I’ve cooked in a handful of kitchens over my years. My dingy college house without a dishwasher and less than 2′ of counter space, my parent’s state of the art kitchen with luxurious appliances, and in rental homes all over the world.
Despite the actual location of the kitchen, a few things remain constant: the quality and the flavor of the food and the company. I thrive on combining fresh, seasonal ingredients with store-bought products because I believe that recipes should be both stress-free and delicious.
Through this approach, I aim to inspire confidence in YOU and while you’re in the kitchen and to be a small part of your connections that are fostered around the kitchen table! Essentially, think of a celebration of culinary joy around each recipe.
About my Recipe Development Style
At A Paige of Positivity, I pride myself on sharing recipes that are approachable, reliable, and genuinely fun to make. Every recipe is developed with care, critique by very honest taste testers, and tested to perfection. My goal? To help you feel confident in the kitchen – whether you’re making a quick weeknight dinner or hosting your favorite people for something special.
Maybe you didn’t know…
A little about me: I adore my friends and family. My now husband, Jack, and I have been together since we were 11. I’ll save you the math; that’s 6th grade and 16 years ago now. I documented our engagement on this special post: We’re getting married!!! Ahh, it still feels surreal to say after dating for so long. Since our Black-Tie Wedding in September 2024, we’ve Remodeled Our First Home together too.

I’m always up for an adventure—whether that’s traveling across the world or discovering a cozy new spot in my own city. I’m endlessly inspired by design, food, and creative entrepreneurship, and I love bringing people together (especially if game night, good wine, and snacks are involved). Mornings are my sacred me-time—usually filled with movement, a good coffee, and a whole lot of intention. I still can’t carry a tune, but I can carry the dance floor… even if it’s just from the kitchen to the living room.
3 months before our wedding, we decided to purchase our first home: a 2004 ranch, full of potential! Using my design degree, I project managed the Renovation that lasted just over 6 months. We put our personal touch on every aspect of our home. If college me could see where I’m cooking now…
When I’m not in my kitchen, you can find me chasing sunsets on a walk with our goldendoodle Georgia, squeezing in a Solidcore class (bonus points if it’s with my favorite instructor), or playing a (sometimes too competitive) game of pickleball with Jack. I’ve recently traded rollerblades for running shoes—currently training for my first marathon! Oh, and I still quote Friends like it aired yesterday.
Current passions? Building A Paige of Positivity into a full-blown mini empire, raising our goldendoodle Georgia (who runs the house, let’s be honest), and making memories through travel with Jack, our families and best friends. I thrive when I have a full calendar, a big dream, and a to-do list that keeps me moving!

More about Courtney & the Blog
I sure do! I almost always refer to my Blog as ‘APOP’. It’s easier to say and pretty catchy! A Paige Of Positivity is lovely, but a mouthful sometimes.
Check out my Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers or the Healthy One Pot Pasta recipe. Reviewers have raved that their picky eaters LOVE it!
Oof, that’s tough. For breakfast, I’m whipping up my Mango Spinach Smoothie. I’ll order a Healthy Pesto Chicken Salad Wrap for lunch, and dinner would be Buffalo Chicken Rice Bowls.
To this day, my mom’s (JoJo’s) Carrot Cake is the most superior dessert you’ll ever have. It’s requested for every special occasion. My heavenly sister, Emily, also made the best Shortbread Christmas Cookies.
Let’s work together!
