- 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour for work station prep
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup ¼ whole milk plain Greek yogurt
- 6 turkey hot dogs
- Cooking spray
- 1 tbsp Melted butter
- Sea salt for finishing
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Fold together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Add greek yogurt into the flour mixture and stir until combined. Once the dough starts to form, use your hands to form into a ball & make sure all of the flour is absorbed. **if the dough is very sticky, sprinkle more flour until dough consistency is achieved.
Cut each hot dog into 3 equal slices.
On a floured work surface, roll out the dough into a 12 x 18 rectangle (roughly) to even thickness. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut 3 columns and 3 rows, making 18 small rectangles.
Roll each hot dog piece on a piece of soft dough, creating pigs in a blanket. If the dough is unraveling after rolled, wet your finger, run it along the edge of the dough, and gently ‘glue’ it so it stays.
Place all pigs in a blanket on a baking sheet, generously spray with cooking spray.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until bottoms of the biscuit dough are golden brown. With a pastry brush, add melted butter on top and sprinkle of flaky sea salt! Enjoy!
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
Reheat in the air fryer/under the broiler as opposed to the microwave so they don’t get soggy.
