Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • cutting board + knife
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pizza Cutter
  • sheet pan

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour for work station prep
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup ¼ whole milk plain Greek yogurt
  • 6 turkey hot dogs
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 tbsp Melted butter
  • Sea salt for finishing

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Fold together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add greek yogurt into the flour mixture and stir until combined. Once the dough starts to form, use your hands to form into a ball & make sure all of the flour is absorbed. **if the dough is very sticky, sprinkle more flour until dough consistency is achieved.

  • Cut each hot dog into 3 equal slices.
  • On a floured work surface, roll out the dough into a 12 x 18 rectangle (roughly) to even thickness. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut 3 columns and 3 rows, making 18 small rectangles.
  • Roll each hot dog piece on a piece of soft dough, creating pigs in a blanket. If the dough is unraveling after rolled, wet your finger, run it along the edge of the dough, and gently ‘glue’ it so it stays.
