This Taylor Swift Cocktail recipe features a mix of bubbly champagne, a splash of vodka and cranberry juice, and a hint of grenadine for a refreshing, elegant drink. Perfect for celebrations, this sparkling cocktail captures her signature blend of class and fun, also known as Champagne Problems.

Cheers Swifties
Alright, so there’s plenty of Taylor Swift cocktails out there. Apparently she’s into the French Blonde cocktail which is a combination of dry gin, Lillet blanc, St-Germain liqueur, and fresh grapefruit juice. A Lavender Haze drink has also flooded the internet, but there are so many different iterations of Swift (hello Eras Tour!), so today I’m bringing to you the Champagne Problems cocktail to fulfil your wildest dreams;)
As a loyal NFL fan, I can tell you that I’m not exactly stoked with this year’s Super Bowl Matchup (can you blame me?!…I’m a Lions fan & I’ve been drinking their Kool-Aid!!) But I am a Taylor Swift fan, so I’m celebrating another Super Bowl starring Taylor this time of year, ya know?!
We may never truly know what is in her red solo cup when she’s drinking with her fellow Chiefs WAGs, but we do know we can drink alongside her (in solidarity!!). There will be some tense calls – might as well start kick off on the right note with a Dirty Shirley Champagne Cocktail!! Because Taylor does cheer for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, I went with the red and gold theme here and it led me to a dirty shirley.
This champagne cocktail is silly easy to make, but elegant enough to honor the pop star queen herself. I used canned champagne which gets doctored up in a fruity fashion with grenadine strawberries and cranberries, oh and a little vodka.
Expertise
My Jameson Green Tea Shots and White Tea Shots bring in tens of thousand visits a year. Two classic cocktail recipes that every amateur bartender should have in their back pocket, both with impeccable taste. This champagne cocktail is so simple and tasty, it might just move up the rankings, too.
Recipe Ingredients

- Canned Champagne – You can also use a bottle of champagne and make 4 cocktails. Just double the remaining ingredients.
- Vodka – Use your favorite, unflavored vodka.
- Grenadine – A concentrated pomegranate syrup, providing a delicate balance of sweet and tart.
- Cranberry Juice – This brightens up the cocktail and masks the alcohol-y flavor.
See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
Substitutions and Variations
- If you don’t have grenadine, you can add simple syrup in it’s place with a touch extra cranberry juice.
- Switch up the flavor from cranberry to another juice of choice.Try pomegranate juice, cherry juice or a grapefruit twist.
- Not a vodka fan? Skip it or use gin instead.
- Top with a little edible glitter to make your cocktail extraordinary — Taylor Swift Style.
How to Make This Recipe

1. Start by removing the lids of the chilled champagne cans (I use this can opener from Kitchen Mama). Pour 4-6 oz of each champagne into a separate glass (consume while making this cocktail or make two additional drinks in regular cups).

2. Pour 1.5 oz vodka, 1 oz cranberry juice, and 1 oz grenadine into a shot glass. Add it to the can of champagne. Repeat for the second can.
3. Gently add a few ice cubes to the can if desired – note the ice will cause a reaction and could overflow the can (typed from personal experience). Garnish with a fresh strawberry and enjoy!
PRO TIPS
- Chill the champagne for at least 24 hours prior to consuming – keep those bubbles locked!
- The most important thing for your safety is to USE A STRAW. The lid of the can can be very sharp and we surely do not want to slice open a lip on the first sip of these fun cocktails.
Recipe FAQs
Because of the champagne bubbles, I do not suggest making this style of cocktail in advance or storing for later enjoyment.
I love this electric can opener that can also take the lids off cans; however, if you don’t have one, I recommend making this cocktail in separate glasses as you don’t want to cut yourself in the opening process.
A Dirty Shirley is the adult version of a shirley temple is a cocktail made with vodka, grenadine, and lemon-lime soda, typically garnished with maraschino cherries. This Taylor Swift “Champagne Problems” cocktail is quite similar such that we’re also using grenadine and vodka, but champagne instead of soda to make your taste buds dance.
