Festive Cranberry Fizz

Fa la la la la! The holidays are the most joyful time of the year—and they’re great for yummy and festive cocktails!

This Cranberry Fizz Cocktail is a great option for your next Christmas party. Whether it’s an Ugly Sweater, Favorite Things, or White Elephant party, this sweet and bubbly drink is perfect for the occasion. You can enjoy quite a few glasses without the nasty hangover thanks to some diet cranberry juice, which is low in sugar.

In addition to the delicious taste and no hangover bonus, this fizzy cocktail is also gorgeous! Garnished with fresh rosemary, pomegranate seeds, and cranberries, it’ll fit in great with your holiday lights, garland, and other decorations. 😉

And if your looking for other festive and holiday cocktails, try this Pomegranate Champagne Punch, this Cranberry Whiskey Sour, or this Crown Apple Slush.

Recipe Ingredients

cranberry fizz cocktail ingredients labeled.
  • Vodka: I used cranberry flavored vodka.
  • Cranberry Bubbly: You can use ginger ale, club soda, or another cranberry bubbly. Cranberry Truly works great, too.
  • Diet Cranberry Pomegranate Juice: I used OceanSpray. Using diet juice lowers the sugar in the drink and lessens the hangover, too.
  • Garnish: Rosemary sprigs, pomegranate seeds and sugared cranberries give this drink a fun holiday feel.

Recipe FAQs

Why should I use diet cranberry juice?

Although I believe the holidays are a time for enjoying and not counting calories/dieting, no one likes a nasty hangover. Diet cranberry juice has less sugar and helps minimize the repercussions the next morning. Obviously, regular cranberry juice will also work fine!

I don’t like vodka. Can I use something else?

This Cranberry Fizz Cocktail would also be delicious with gin. The recipe would take a new direction, but you could also try bourbon if that’s your thing. I recommend garnishing with a cinnamon stick if you decide to use bourbon!

What is burnt rosemary?

Quite possibly the most perfect holiday cocktail garnish! Burnt rosemary releases a very herbal, fragrant smoke and when used to garnish a cocktail, it brings about flavors like lemon and pine. To do this, simply light a sprig of rosemary using your stovetop burner or a handheld lighter, allow a few of the leaves to burn to ash and dunk straight into your cocktail glass. This extra step can really elevate your cocktail game and bring you to bartender status in no time.

Serving suggestions

A Cranberry Fizz has a tart and fruity flavor profile. It would be delicious when served with Baked Brie Bread Bowl (with Cranberry sauce) or Harvest Fall Pasta Salad.
