About the best Turkey Burgers ever
Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers with ranch seasoning and a big brioche bun are just what your week needs. These flavorful turkey burgers are a staple easy dinner in our house and happen nearly every week for meal prep. And every time I make them, the response is “Oh man, this is good!” So, you know…these are the real deal.
These burgers are bursting with a ton of flavor and are super simple. Made with lean ground turkey, fresh chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, crisp red onion, and ranch, they’re perfectly juicy and have great flavor.
For the ranch flavor, you can find ranch seasoning packets in the dressing or spice aisle of the grocery store. The packets are so convenient and SO tasty. I also use it in the Bacon Ranch Chicken Salad and this Chicken Ranch Mac and Cheese. Recipe Ingredients

- Ground Turkey: 92-98% lean turkey works great! You don’t want any lower, as there will be extra moisture and then pan will become too greasy. You can substitute the turkey with lean ground beef if you prefer beef burgers, or ground chicken is tasty, too! I’ve not tried a plant-based ground meat like Beyond Beef or Impossible meat, but I’m confident that could work, too.
- Feta Cheese: Super tangy. Works so well with ranch seasoning, too. I used crumbled, but you could buy the block and chop it for your turkey burgers with feta.
- Ranch Seasoning: This is what gives our burger SO MUCH FLAVOR. It can be found in the dressing isle of most grocery stores and is made typically of a combination of onion powder, garlic powder, dill, parsley, chives, salt, black pepper, and dry buttermilk powder.

PRO TIPS
It’s crucial that the spinach and onion is diced finely. If they are too large, the burgers risk falling apart while cooking. Use a vegetable chopper for the onion for convenience.

How to Make These Juicy Burgers

1. In a large mixing bowl, add the ground turkey, chopped red onion, freshly chopped baby spinach, and crumbled feta cheese and combine. Then pour in 1 packet of dry ranch seasoning into meat mixture and stir.

2. Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions. Then, using your hands, form the patties about an inch thick.
3. Grease a nonstick skillet and heat stove to medium-high heat. When the grease starts to crackle, add in burger patties. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side or until meat reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. This is the perfect time to add some cheese to the top of your burgers if you choose.
4. While the turkey burgers with feta are sizzling, prepare your toppings. Slice the tomatoes, wash and dry crispy lettuce, drain spicy pickle chips and prepare the onions: raw or sautéed.
5. Set the oven to broil. (Around 525°F.) Slice each bun, brushing each side with olive oil mayo, adding some crumbled feta, and salt and pepper. One of the most common misconceptions about preparing a meal is the timing it takes to actually cook each individual piece. Because the broiler only takes 2-3 minutes, this can be done right after the burger patties are fully cooked.

6. Assemble your burger with your favorite burger toppings of choice and enjoy! I like to do shredded lettuce on the bottom on top of the mayo so it has something to stick to, then the patty on top of that to seal it in. Then I add tomato, onion, lettuce, more mayo (or ranch/ketchup/mustard), pickles, the top bun and bite on in!
Grilling Turkey Feta Burgers
If you’re going to grill these Ranch Turkey Burgers with Feta, you’ll want to use tinfoil. Because they’re so packed with ingredients, they may fall apart if you just toss them directly on the grill. I always cook mine in a skillet and they stay together every time. I think a grill pan could work, too!
RECIPE FAQs
If the burger add-ins are too large it affects the burgers’ overall ability to hold its shape, so pro-tip chop the fresh spinach and onion finely! If you do, however, notice the burger patties are not staying together before cooking them, try adding 1/4 cup of bread crumbs or an egg to the turkey burger mixture. It will act as a binding agent and help the burgers maintain their shape.
Store cooked Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. These Turkey Burgers are great for meal prep!
These burgers freeze super well, too! Wrap each burger individually shaped burger with plastic wrap and you can freeze them raw or cooked burgers for up to 3 months. If freezing raw patties, let come to room temperature before cooking.
The toppings I usually add to these burgers are: Tomatoes, butter lettuce, pickles, mayo, cheese, ranch, avocado, and some sort of aioli (this truffle aioli or this chipotle aioli). Other ideas for delicious toppings: Mustard (regular, honey, dijon, or spicy brown!), raw or grilled onions, mushrooms, bacon, or hummus! I’ve also taken the direction of greek turkey burgers and added tzatziki sauce on top, which is delicious, too.
Serving suggestions
I love to serve these burgers with my homemade Roasted Sweet Potato Fries, Arugula Couscous Salad, or it even pairs well with this Summer Berry Salad.

These burgers were SO GOOD. Legit way too easy too. The flavor was amazing. I never thought to add a ranch seasoning packet to make burgers but it worked so well. I did use 99% lean turkey and reduced fat feta because that’s all I had on hand, I bet it would taste even better with full fat feta and turkey that had a little fat. Overall, still great!
These burgers are delicious! I love me some ranch and feta cheese, so what‘s better than packing it all into some type of protein and topping it off with your favorites?? I’m also a college student and I definitely wouldn’t say I like to cook any meals that are time consuming or requires lots of spices, ingredients, etc. SO, this is such an amazing recipe to make!!!
These were AMAZING!!! They were so easy and fast to make and tasted delicious! The feta, ranch packet, and spinach mixed with the ground turkey was so unique and unreal! I loved being able to top it off with any toppings. I added tomatoes, onions, pickles (a must for me!), and ranch dressing which worked perfectly with the packet added into the ground turkey. Definitely going to repeat this!!!
These burgers are a game changer!!! My family used to eat their turkey burgers plain (yes, you heard that one right) making me dread when turkey burger night came. Who knew adding a few ingredients you could already find in my kitchen would quickly make it change into one of my favorite meals?!?! Plus, what Midwesterner doesn’t love some good ranch? These burgers are easy to prep and cook. Plus, they’re versatile and therefore easily suitable to each family member no matter how picky.
My family also used to eat them plain and now we’ll never go back – so easy and tasty!
This recipe was so simple and SO GOOD! A huge hit. We’ve added it to our go-to dinner rotation.
ahhh! I love to hear this – it’s in mine too!
Soooooo good! I’ve made these three times already! Super easy to make too which is amazing!
I keep making these burgers over and over- they are amazing! I use ketchup and Greek yogurt as the sauces on the bun and it’s delicious!
Delicious and SO easy! We love adding avocado in the burger but putting on top is also a hit.
These are AMAZING! This is such a great recipe. They are so easy and quick to make, but still packed with a ton of flavor. I made these for my family and they loved them. My mom is already asking me to make them again. This recipe is definitely a keeper and will be a regular in my house!
These were amazing! I come from a big family with 4 siblings and it was so easy to customize them to fit my younger siblings picky eating habits (not everyone likes cheese). Everyone in my family loved these and we will be making them again. I am also a college student and this is such a great recipe for me to cook at school because it is easy, affordable and totally meal prep friendly! I am already looking forward to having them again soon!
I made these burgers yesterday, Feb. 2! Actually DELICIOUS!!!!! I love all things feta but with the addition of onions, pickles and Mayo- these were next level!!!! Already planning to make them again this weekend!
Made these last night and DANG they’re good! So flavorful yet so simple to make. Will definitely be a repeat occurrence in my meal prep rotation! We had them with homemade pita, pickled red onions, and some honey mustard sauce. SO GOOD. Can’t wait to eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Would also be fire with Courtney’s corn feta dip!
These have become a staple in my house. So yummy! And bonus, my kids love them too!
These burgers are E V E R Y T H I N G!!!!!! Sooo yummy (I mean is anything including ranch or ranch seasoning not????) and SO EASY and quick to make! And this is coming from an AMATEUR cook, so you know I ain’t lyin
This recipe has been such a game changer! The ranch seasoning adds such a nice kick, elevating my burger night for sure. This recipe could not have been easier, especially for an amateur chef like myself!
One of my favorite go to recipes during the week. I spread a little hummus on my bread when I don’t have the aioli mixture and it tastes great!
I LOVE these! Have probably made them 5x now. I usually find turkey burgers dry but these were not at all! They’re so versatile and go as good in a salad that they do on a bun.
I’m in highschool and my family has a rule that each kid has to cook dinner once a month! I have never been the best cook and far too many times have made “salad” for dinner because I didn’t trust myself to actually cook anything. Well, this recipe gave me so much confidence because I actually felt comfortable by the stove and it actually tasted good. I so appreciated the detailed instructions on cooking meat as I was so nervous about undercooking it. The best part was that I actually liked how it tasted- and so dd my family! We were all surprised by how good my dinner was and I can only credited that to this blog and the recipes it holds. Thank you! Will definitely use a recipe of yours next month!
I absolutely LOVED making this recipe! So easy and flavorful. I would definitely make it a traditional meal with my family.
Easy but sooo delicious turkey burgers!!!
Make these burgers right now!! So delicious, every bite is packed with flavor and they are so easy and quick to make. My mom and I both loved them and we are already planning on making them again in the near future!
