Recipe Ingredients
- Snacks: Use what you have, but I included pretzels, parmesan Goldfish, Cheddar and Sour Cream Ruffles chips, Honey BBQ Fritos, oyster crackers, and White Cheddar Cheez-Its.
- Butter: This will provide some stickiness to help spread the ranch flavors over all of the snacking ingredients.
- Parmesan Cheese: The perfect savory finishing touch to this snack mix.
- Ranch Seasoning: Gives our snack mix all of its flavor! Mixed in with the melted butter is outright addicting. You can grab this from Amazon or it's typically found in the dressing aisle at the grocery store.

Substitutions and Variations
You may think I have a strange combination of snacks in this Ranch Snack Mix. I totally do. I had all of these snacks at home and realized that I could combine them all to make something absolutely MAGICAL. And that's just what this yummy snack mix is!
That being said, feel free to customize with your own favorites or whatever you may have around. Here are some other snack ideas that would work great:
- Nuts
- Chex cereal
- Tortilla chips
- Doritos
- Cheese puffs
- Croutons
- Pumpkin or sunflower seeds
You can switch up the flavors of this Snack Mix:
- Make it little spicy if that's your jam! Add some red pepper flakes, cayenne powder, or some chipotle seasoning.
- A little honey or maple syrup would also sweeten this mix up for a sweet and salty combo!
- Change out the ranch for another seasoning packet. Onion Dip Mix, a French Onion Dip Mix, Garlic Parmesan, Spinach Artichoke, get creative!
Let me know how you customize this snack mix in the comments!
How to Make This Recipe
1. Preheat the oven to 225°F. In a large mixing bowl, use a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to gently fold together pretzel snaps, parmesan Goldfish, cheddar and sour cream chips, honey BBQ Fritos, oyster crackers, and white cheddar Cheez-Its.
2. Melt butter in a microwave safe dish. Then, whisk in 1 packet of dry ranch DRESSING mix. Next, whisk shaved parmesan cheese into the butter and ranch mixture. Pour the butter mixture over the snack bowl and toss well. You really want to make sure all the snacks are coated.
3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the snack mix onto the baking sheet. Sprinkle the ranch POWDER packet onto the snack mix and gently toss around. Place baking sheet in the oven for 1 hour removing 2-3 times to toss and prevent burning.
4. Remove snack mix from the oven. Your house will smell *AMAZING*! Allow it to cool for 15-20 minutes prior to serving.
Recipe FAQs
Store in an airtight container on the counter or in the pantry for up to 1 week.
You want the dry ingredients to be well coated with ranch/butter mixture, but not completely wet prior to cooking. Using the correct ratios provided in this recipe will ensure that doesn't happen.
Also be sure to let your mixture cool, or "dry" after it comes out of the oven before you store it.
Absolutely! Separate into little baggies for delicious on-the-go snacking. I suggest packing some napkins, though, as all of that buttery ranch seasoning is going to leave your fingers a little greasy.
This recipe is high in both fat and calories and I wouldn't necessarily consider it healthy. It is best enjoyed in moderation.
