Whipped Dill Feta Dip with Fresh vegetables (Easy Prep!)
Have you ever found that two flavors are just meant to be together? That's how I feel about dill and feta. Call me biased because of my love of Mediterranean food (I had a Mediterranean salad for lunch for 4 months straight 😂), but I really think both flavors are perfect for each other!
So many of you loved my sweet and spicy Whipped Feta Dip that I thought I'd create a Mediterranean flavored one. This Whipped Dill Feta Dip is a little citrusy, a little tart, and a whole lot of creamy. It's complemented so well by a fresh blend of Mediterranean staples like tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives.
Serve this Whipped Dill Feta Dip with fresh bell pepper or more cucumber, crostini, or pita chips. It's the perfect, light appetizer to your next dinner!
Ingredients for this Whipped Dill Feta Dip
Greek Yogurt: This helps add more bulk and creaminess to the feta dip.
Feta Cheese: I used an 8 oz block.
Cream Cheese: Just like the Greek yogurt, cream cheese adds more bulk and creaminess.
Lemon Juice: For bright, citrusy flavor.
Dill Weed: A Mediterranean staple! We'll use the seasoning in the dip and then fresh dill for garnish.
Salt: Brings our other flavors together.
Pepper: Serves the same purpose as the salt!
Garlic: The savory flavor pairs so well with the other citrusy flavors we'll be using in this dip.
I highly recommend topping this dip with a medley of diced cucumber, tomatoes, and olives, too. Adds great texture and even more delicious Mediterranean flavors!

5 best ways to use Feta Cheese
You may be thinking, "This girl eats SO MUCH feta cheese." Well, I do and I love it! 😉 Not only is it super tasty, but it's super versatile and can add flavor to so much. Here are my favorite ways to use feta cheese (that don't include snacking on it by the handful):
- In a dip. (Just like this one!) Because it has such a creamy consistency, it's easy to incorporate with other wetter ingredients for a nice, smooth dip.
- As a salad topping. Grab some feta crumbles or chop up a block and sprinkle on top of your favorite salad. The texture provides a nice, creamy surprise as you're munching on greens, protein, and other fun add-ins.
- In burgers. I highly recommend you check out my Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers. The sharp feta flavor pairs so nicely with juicy, meaty burgers made of ground beef, chicken, or turkey.
- For breakfast. Add some feta to a nice egg scramble or omelet. You could also roll it into a breakfast burrito!
- On a charcuterie board. Feta tastes great with pita bread/chips, crackers, nuts, and fruit. It's an excellent choice for your next cheese board!
Frequently asked questions
What's the best way to store this dip?
Store it in the refrigerator. It will thicken slightly when chilled. So if you’d like more of a runny dip, let it warm up to room temperature before serving.
Do you have any tips for success?
Use a hand mixer! It’s going to seamlessly blend all of the ingredients together. I highly, highly recommend using it. It will make this recipe easier and taste better!
What can I serve with this dip?
I love it as a stand alone appetizer served with vegetables and fresh pita. But, it also would be phenomenal on a homemade gyro or as salad dressing.
What's a good substitute for feta cheese?
A cheese with similar texture and body flavor will be a suitable substitution. I would try a creamy goat cheese or bleu cheese. You could also try a very soft white cheddar.
Can I freeze this dish?
I do not recommended you freeze this dish.
